Xam'd Has Good Music

Just finished another good episode of Xam'd. It's a pretty good show, but the opening and closing songs are both top notch.

Episode 9 is full of awesome. Lots of good stuff, but my favorite was the Please Teacher style episode preview for next week. You've got to watch it. It's a priority one :)

This show was a pleasant surprise. When I started watching it I thought "Eh, it'll do". But it kept getting better and better. By the end I was thought it was fantastic. I'm not sure why. In a lot of ways, it's just a standard 'magical girl' anime. I think it was because the key relationship in the show wasn't romantic, but was a father/daughter relationship. I'm keen on that sort of thing these days.

Elfen Lied is DISTURBING

...with a capital 'ISTURBING'. It's like harem anime, except the girls can twist your head off with a thought.
I actually enjoyed this series, but it was uncomfortable to watch, especially as a parent. After it was over, I had to go give my daughter a big hug...

I really liked this anime. Its sci-fi/anime Count of Monte Cristo, which is a book I really enjoyed. I usually don't comment on the artistic side of anime, but I also really liked the art and music in this one.
